Based on numerous examples from various railway companies.

Simple slot-together construction from 3mm laser-cut MDF. The internal pit dimensions are 25mm wide x 194mm long x 24mm deep o/a. The baseboard cut-out size is 33mm x 208mm with a maximum baseboard depth of 21mm. Subsequent kits can be joined to make a longer pit, with some minor altertions to the surround. The score lines indicate the locations for rail chairs. The depth of the surround which sits proud of the baseboard surface is 3mm thick and designed to line up with (for instance) C&L flexi-track.

All parts are unpainted.
