These are extremely accurate laser engraved signs. The dimensions were taken from a real examples of the cast iron signs in my possession. They were very common and used on the railway system over a very large area and time-span. This design is the Midland Railway design and used by them - and still in existence during LMS and BR(M) ownership.

They are laser engraved into 0.8mm Rowmark which is a dual layer plastic material. It has a white top layer and black bottom layer, engraving the white to reveal the black. The example of the finished Beware sign shown here has been mounted on a length of bullhead rail and painted. I used Humbrol No 25 thinly applied and then gently wiped off the lettering when it has started to dry.
