These are extremely accurate laser engraved signs. The dimensions were taken from the reference book ‘Midland Style’ and each board scales at 2’6” wide x 4’2” high (17.5mm x 29.2mm). They were used on the railway system over a very large area and time-span. This design is the Midland Railway design and used by them - and still in existence during LMS and BR(M) ownership.

They are laser engraved into 0.8mm Rowmark which is a dual layer plastic material. It has a white top layer and black bottom layer, engraving the white to reveal the black. They therefore need no painting and can be added to your model straight from the packet.
